BONE CHINA CLAN PLATES-SCOTLAND
This unique series of six-inch bone china plates is made in Staffordshire by Edwardian Fine Bone China, and decorated and fired in Scotland. The colorful version of the clan crest and motto is rendered by Yvonne Holton- heraldic artist in the court of the Lord Lyon, King of Arms, Scotland. Each piece of this limited run is numbered on the back, with a wonderful, extensive backstamp which includes all kinds of information about the specific clan, as shown. The tiny printing inside the arrows is "approved by the standing council of Clan Chiefs". Generous gold trim- this is a true heirloom quality piece. Each plate will have the informative "Clans of Scotland" certificate enclosed. Shown here is the Clan MacLeod plate, the format of the backstamp, and the enclosure.
